Bauska Region Tourism Information Centre will participate in tourism fair BALTTOUR
From 7 to 9 February, the international tourism fair "Balttour 2025" in Riga, will offer a wide range of information on travel and leisure opportunities in Latvia and abroad. Bauska Region and South Latvia will also participate in the fair this year, inviting visitors to a joint stand with the slogan "Zemgale invites!".
The Zemgale (South Latvia) stand will offer the opportunity to discover the offers of Bauska, Dobele, Jēkabpils, Aizkraukle, Jelgava municipalities and Jelgava City, presented by Zemgale tourism information centres and members of the Zemgale Tourism Association. Visitors will get up-to-date information on the latest tourist attractions, thematic routes and active leisure offers. In addition, printed materials and expert advice will be available to help discover Zemgale's unique assets - nature, castles and manor houses, traditions and history, active leisure and gastronomic offers.
To attract more visitors to stand, the tourism information centres have prepared interactive and educational activities. For stand visitors will be offered a calendar of the most important events in Zemgale in 2025. The Bauska Regional Tourist Information Centre will present the new tourism guide "Bauska Region invites!", inform about new tourist attractions and services in the region, this year's main events, and the Latvia and Lithuanian border travel campaign "Discover neighbours in Zemgale!", which this year will take place from 1 May to 31 August.
During the three days, the Zemgale stand will also host several members of the Zemgale Tourism Association, who will present their offers. Among them will be representatives of the Bauska Region, such as the recreation complex "Miķelis", Rundāle Watermill, Bauska Castle Museum, "Rija Hotel Bauska", the farm "Vaidelotes", Igo Music and Art Centre "Ceplis", Rundāle Palace guide Olafs Soloveika and the farm "Padegas".
The participation of the Zemgale region in the exhibition is organised by the Zemgale Tourism Association in cooperation with the region's municipalities.
