Bauska region Home Cafe Days 2026

This year, the Bauska region Home Café Days will take place on July 25 and 26!

This year will offer everyone plenty of opportunities to enjoy freshly prepared treats from local café owners and try some surprising flavor combinations, but above all—to feel like you’re visiting good friends, because that’s exactly how warm and welcoming our home town is!

This year, 12 home cafés will open their doors:

Home Café "Izgaršo Āziju “Laurās” " - Recreation complex "Lauras"

The "Lauras" resort near Bauska is an oasis of peace with a garden carefully tended by the hostess, magnificent rose collections, and a pond home to Japanese koi carp. On days when the café is open, you can enjoy authentic Asian dishes here—Tom Yum soup, pho soup, udon noodles with beef, honey chicken with rice, and crispy shrimp. In addition to the meal, enjoy a catamaran ride and stand-up paddleboarding on the koi pond, a fun relay race, and a stroll through the rose garden. You can browse the menu here.

On a daily basis, the Rundāle Watermill offers a five-floor museum tour—from grain to flour—a brewery tour and beer tasting, and water sports equipment rentals. On days when the on-site café is open, guests can enjoy creamy green pea and mint soup, savory and sweet mill pancakes, as well as the house-brewed beer “Rudmate” and cocktails. In addition to the meal, guests will enjoy a free tour of the winery, a photo exhibition about the Gailīši Parish, and a photo mirror. You can browse the menu here.

On café days, the farm will serve charcoal-grilled pork with a colorful kale salad, pork rolls wrapped in Swiss chard leaves with mozzarella, and a spinach sponge cake—all dishes made from homegrown ingredients, some even prepared by the children themselves. And since all three daughters are named Anna—this will be a true celebration of Anna’s Day together with our guests. You can browse the menu here.

Home Café at the manor park “Sudraba ozoli” - Guest house "Ozola stāsts"

The newly opened “Sudraba ozoli” campground in Mežmuiža, Valles Parish, holds a story rooted in the past—it was once the manor owner’s park, and later the land was carefully tended by great-grandfather Jānis and great-grandmother Anna. On café days, the menu will feature the manor lord’s signature chicken patties, gazpacho, and hot ice cream with rhubarb sauce. For the more active, there will be beach volleyball and an artist’s master class; for those seeking tranquility, there will be Kundalini yoga for an evening of peace and board games.
