The most popular dishes in Bauska District attract food lovers from as far as 100 kilometres away. When it comes to a good meal, we have just one motto: “As good as at home!”. Here, alongside local restaurants, our own honey and cheese, home producers and tastings, there are also places where a meal can become the highlight of the day. To ensure that every local resident and visitor feels at home during Latvia’s National Holiday Week, and that the meal becomes the highlight of the day – from 9 to 22 November, ‘Patriotic Gourmets’ Week’ will take place, during which traditional Latvian festive dishes will be served.
