What if the figures in the old masters’ paintings could look at us through the eyes of modern-day people?
From 4 November right through to 30 December, Dana Rodenkirhena’s photography exhibition – “Our Very Own Mona Lisa” – will be on display at Bauska Town Hall.
This project draws on knowledge of art and fashion history to recreate the costumes, jewellery and interiors with the utmost precision. The psychological portrayal of the subjects also closely mirrors the original paintings. What makes this project particularly special is the fact that none of the people portrayed are professional models – all the historical figures have been found amongst ordinary people.
Dana Rodenkirhena is a professional photographer, stylist and image designer. She offers photo shoots, event and wedding photography, style consultations and make-up services. She is the owner of the holiday home ‘Priedēni’.
