Classical Music Concert at the Small Mežotne Palace

On 26 September, the outstanding Latvian violinist Vineta Sareika will give the first performance of Pēteris Vasks' Summer Sonata for solo violin. Together with the talented French pianist Amandīne Savarī, she will also perform Karol Szymanowski's cycle Three Myths for Violin and Piano, Op. 30—The Fountain of Arethusa, Narcissus, and Dryads and Pan—as well as Maurice Ravel's Sonata No. 2 for Violin and Piano and Jascha Heifetz's transcriptions from George Gershwin's opera Porgy and Bess.
