On August 15 at 10:30 a.m., we invite families with children and anyone else interested to a caricature workshop at Mežotne Palace, led by visual arts teacher and caricaturist Bruno Bahs.
In a relaxed and informal atmosphere, we’ll let our imaginations run wild, learn the basics of caricature drawing, and, under the instructor’s guidance, create our own humorous caricatures.
After the master class, cultural projects director Inita Sondore will invite participants to view original works by Austrian artist Ernst Welker, which have traveled to Mežotne Palace from Posterstein Castle in Germany and are currently on display in the exhibition “The Court of the Muses: The Salon of Duchess Dorothea of Courland at Lebihava Castle in the Caricatures of Ernst Welker.”

To participate in the event, you must purchase an admission ticket to Mežotne Palace:
- adults – 5.00 EUR;
- full-time students and schoolchildren – 1.50 EUR;
- family ticket (1 adult + 2 students) – 7.00 EUR;
- family ticket (2 adults + 2 students) – 12.00 EUR.
