The concert features an international early music ensemble:

- Finlay Robert Hay, Renaissance lute (Scotland, United Kingdom)
- Marino González García, viola da gamba (Spain)
The program is based on the concept of locus amoenus (Latin for “pleasant place”), which in art history refers to the garden as an ideal, harmonious space. However, English Renaissance gardens were not merely idyllic places of relaxation where one could bask in the sun and indulge in memories. They were labyrinths of symbols, in which every plant and flower had its own meaning, and behind every hedge, court intrigues or love affairs might unfold.
The concert will feature music from the golden age of the English Late Renaissance (the second half of the 16th century) and the early 17th century by composers from the courts of Elizabeth and the Stuarts: T. Morley, A. Holborne, J. Dowland, T. Campion, J. Danyel, T. Hume, R. Johnson, J. Bennet, and others.
