From 13th to 19th July 2026, Svitene will host the 15th Svitene Art Plein Air, an annual event that brings together artists from across Latvia. Throughout the week, the artists will work outdoors, explore the cultural and historical heritage of the Bauska Municipality, and create paintings inspired by the region’s landscapes, architecture, and man-made environment, capturing their impressions through art.
The creative week will conclude with a special event – the Opening of the XV Svitene Art Plein Air Closing Exhibition, where visitors will have the opportunity to view the artworks created during the plein air. On 19 July, the exhibition at the Svitene Community Centre will feature more than 30 artworks produced throughout the week. It will also be a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists, hear the stories behind their works, and experience the Bauska Municipality through the eyes of the artists.
