Youth Festival “STARTS” is coming to Bauska on July 5!
From 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the Bauska Town Hall Square will host the Youth Festival “STARTS”, bringing together sports activities, creative workshops, youth organizations, and community initiatives in one place.
The festival will create an environment for active participation, learning new skills, and enjoying meaningful leisure time. An important part of the festival will be Ghetto Games, featuring Ghetto Basket, Ghetto Football, and Ghetto Fight competitions throughout the day. Participants from different parts of Latvia will take part in the tournaments, while participation will be free of charge for residents of the Bauska Municipality.

Alongside the sports activities, visitors will be able to try wall climbing, participate in a dreamcatcher workshop, take part in podcast recording activities, and enjoy games and challenge stations with prizes.
These activities will be provided by youth organizations from Bauska Municipality, the Youth Council, and the association Adventure Spirit.
At 6:00 PM, the award ceremony will take place, followed by dance performances and a DJ set. At 7:00 PM, the festival will conclude with a performance by Rolands Če.
The festival programme reflects the interests of young people themselves. In the 2025 initiative “Elections for Children and Young People – Democracy Begins in the Family”, students in grades 9–12 selected sports as the most appealing theme for youth events, receiving 55% of the votes.
