On June 20, the Rundāle Parish Midsummer celebration event will take place at the guest house “Baltā māja”.

Starting at 5:00 PM, visitors are invited to participate in the festive printing workshop “From Grandmother’s Hope Chest” with artist Anda Sproģe. Participants are encouraged to bring their own linen shirt, skirt, or scarf for printing.

At 7:00 PM, the amateur groups of the Rundāle Multifunctional Centre (MFC) will present the concert “Like a Spark in the Fire”. The folklore ensemble “Saulala” from the Vabalninkas Cultural Centre in the Biržai District will also perform the musical production “The Journey of Beer”.

The program will also feature a performance by the Tērvete Amateur Theatre “Trīne” of Rūdolfs Blaumanis’ famous play “Days of the Tailors in Silmači”, directed by Dzintara Zimaisa.

Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in making floral head wreaths (please bring a small bouquet of brightly colored flowers), view an exhibition of works by the Rundāle Painting Studio led by Laura Ikerte, watch traditional cheese-making demonstrations, and enjoy festive refreshments and pancakes.

The event offers a variety of activities and a wonderful opportunity to welcome and celebrate the Summer Solstice together.
