During the so-called “tulip mania,” flower bulbs became the subject of market speculation—hoping for quick and easy profits, people often bought and sold them even before the bulbs had grown. In 1637, the tulip bulb market suddenly collapsed, and many lost everything.

The exhibition is supported by the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation, the Rundāle Palace Support Fund, and SIA “Groglass”.
