Pianist Vestards Šimkus has dedicated this concert program to the most legendary 19th-century composer and pianist, Franz Liszt, whose virtuosic and romantic music once created an almost superhuman and transcendent experience for audiences.
It was precisely Liszt’s music and the stories of his life that inspired Vestards Šimkus, at the age of eight, to fall in love with piano playing, classical music, and the creative process of composition, ultimately deciding to devote his life to music.
During this solo concert, the pianist will also share key insights about the music, helping every listener experience the breathtaking magic of Liszt’s works.
