The Bauska Museum is hosting an exhibition of works by painter Madara Gulbis and glass artist Bārbala Gulbe “There is a sky between us”.
Opening of the exhibition and meeting with the artists on 29th of August at 5:00 PM.
How to paint a sky that is not “the sky” at all? How to depict the changing nature of clouds on glass? In this exhibition, both artists focus on the feeling of spaciousness and silence – an experience that is difficult to describe in words, in which the viewer is invited to transcend the boundaries of the visible and indulge in sensations that lead away from everyday noise – where silence becomes language and spaciousness becomes a field of thought.
During the events, visitors may be photographed and/or filmed, and photographs and video material may be published.
