Exhibition “Bauska Summer 2025”

From 15th of August to 14th of September, 2025, the Bauska Museum will host the exhibition “Bauskas Summer 2025” - the 21st art plein air.

Opening of the exhibition and meeting with the artists on 15th of August at 5:00 PM.

There will he hold an art plein air "Summer in Bauska 2025" on 10th  to 17th of August. Bauska will host 21 artist. During the plain air artists will search and depict the Bauska town`s silent stories, light plays and landscapes in their works.

This year’s participants: Atis Jākobsons, Neonilla Medvedeva, Valērijs Baida, Alise Mediņa, Reinis Liepa, Alise Builevica and Ivonna Zīle - artists with different experiences, but a similar ability to see the special in the seemingly ordinary. They will delve into the urban environment, capture unusual views and places that locals often pass by without noticing them, and turn what they see into paintings, each with their own characteristic artistic style.

The exhibition will offer viewers the opportunity to look at Bauska through the “eyes of painters”, where the everyday becomes a source of inspiration, and familiar landscapes – into artistic images. After the exhibition closes, the works will be available for purchase.

The works created during the plein air will also live on in public space – each artist will donate one painting, adding to the collection of the Bauska Museum and the Bauska Castle Museum.
