This year, on 19th of July, the Bauska Municipality Festival will take place in Vecumnieki, a place where Lily Stories will be told - stories about people, personalities, feelings, emotions, things done and things experienced.
When the lily flowers begin to bloom in the gardens of our Vecumnieki Parish residents and summer is in full swing, the scent of lilies stirs hearts and the story of the Lily Festival blossoms. It is a story of traditions, of people, of creative ideas coming true, of things done and experienced together. Lily has not only become a characteristic sign of Vecumnieki parish, but its flower also permeates the lives of its inhabitants. This awakens a sense of pride, because a part of ourselves is part of this lily story, which is celebrated at the festival.
For the 20th year in a row, we will gather in Vecumnieki to create new stories and enjoy the festive atmosphere together!
All day long:
- Children's programme - games, workshops and entertainment
- Creative workshops for the whole family
- Sports games and activities
- Vintage car parade and exhibition
- Traditional floristry competition - magnificent floral artworks
Concerts to suit all tastes:
- Ieva Sutugova and Jānis Moisey - romantic and heartfelt melodies
- Ivo Fomins and the band "Deep Purple" - energetic rock and pop music
- A festive party until the morning light with the band "Mākoņstūmēji"!
