From 7th of June at 10.00 Mežotne Palace - now a structural unit of the Rundāle Palace Museum - will be open to the public again after a break of several years.
Thanks to the initiative of the public, the support of cultural professionals and a working group coordinated by the Ministry of Culture, one of the most outstanding monuments of classical architecture in Latvia is back on the cultural tourism map.
Currently, Mežotne Palace will be on display with a minimally furnished exhibition, but already on the opening day it will house several important objects from the collection of the Rundāle Palace Museum.
The palace will be open to visitors every day from May to October from 10.00 to 18.00.
Entrance fee:
Adults - € 5.00
pupils and students - 1,50 €
Children under 7 years - free
