Bauska is one of the fishing capitals of the country, so on 20 April, the seventh "Vimba Festival" will take place on the right bank of the Mūsa River (Krasta Street near Bauska Stadium), bringing together participants of the Goodwill Fishing Contest, friends of nature and spring celebrators from all over Latvia.
This year, the festival will be accompanied by the slogan "It's good to be in nature!", which will encourage people not only to enjoy the bounty of nature, but also to be aware of how to use nature's resources and bounty as sustainably as possible. Through educational activities, workshops and stories from experienced experts, we will discover how to be welcoming guests on nature trails, by water bodies and elsewhere, and how each of us can become a better friend to nature through our daily habits.
