The Liepāja Symphony Orchestra has been regularly performing at Rundāle Palace for more than ten years, creating an inimitable musical experience for music lovers in this pearl of Baroque architecture. The majestic interior of the palace and the acoustics of the White Hall create a special atmosphere that allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of classical music.
In 2025, the Liepāja Sounds at Rundāle Palace concert series will feature four events, and in the first of them, listeners will be able to enjoy the masterpieces of Viennese classics – Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The outstanding Lithuanian conductor Modests Barkausks will lead the orchestra through two brilliant works of the classicist era: Joseph Haydn’s Second Concerto for Cello and Orchestra and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 40.
The concert program will be complemented by Luigi Boccherini’s Symphony in G major and Johannes Stamitz’s Symphony in E flat major.
