Exhibition of paintings at the Bauska Museum

From 18th of September to 10th of November 2024, the Bauska Museum will host an exhibition of works from the 10th Jāzeps Pīgožnis Prize for Latvian Landscape Painting. Alongside the works of the competitors, the paintings of the competition's inspiration, artist Jāzeps Pīgožnis, will be on display.
This year, the Bauska Museum will display the works of around forty artists. Thanks to the cooperation with Silvija Berezovska, the curator of expositions and exhibitions of the Museum of History and Applied Arts in Preiļi, the exhibition will also feature works by artist Jāzeps Pīgožnis /1934-2014/, which reflect the Nordic splendour and diversity of Latvian nature in all seasons.
