In honor of the 415th anniversary of the town of Bauska, historical readings will be held to draw attention to the historical roots of the city and its development, the most important buildings and personalities.
While waiting for the city's anniversary celebration, everyone is welcome to get to know the history of Bauska. Specialists of the Bauska Palace Museum and the Bauska Museum have prepared a special series of historical readings to draw attention to the historical roots of the town, its development along the river of time, the most important buildings and personalities.
Bauska is a town with a rich history. Reading the history will allow you to see its hidden values, help you understand the unique personality of the town that has developed over time, and allow you to get to know it again from different perspectives.
The first meeting was dedicated to the Bauska castle, while the historians of the Bauska Museum continued the history readings, telling about the Bauskas Sv.Gara ev.lut. church.
At the third meeting, on 27th of April at 14.00, there will be historical readings dedicated to the town of Bauska on its 415th anniversary!
The actualization of the history of the city of Bauska calls for strengthening the town`s identity, restoring the self-confidence of the citizens and provoking a revival of local patriotism.
