9. April, 2024 till 26. April, 2024
On Tuesday 9th of April, at 4 p.m., interested parties are invited to a meeting with the artist.
This exhibition is a dialogue with emerging artists. This talk aims to inspire young people to delve into contexts and learn to read metaphors. And it may be that this conversation will encourage art school students not only to Google a surname mentioned in the annotation, but also will open up a broader vision for young artists to ordinary everyday things.
Vecumnieku School of Music and Art has a tradition of creating exhibitions of professional artists in various genres and techniques. It is a great and invaluable opportunity to show excellent art to school students and guests. The exhibition can be viewed until April 26.
Karine Paronyanc has obtained a master's degree in the monumental painting department of the Latvian Academy of Arts. In addition, she studied afresco and sgraffito painting techniques at the Florence Art Institute in Italy, until then she graduated with honors from the Jānis Rozentāls Riga Art School. In 2007, the artist received the award-winning first place in the prestigious art competition of professor Indulias Zariņš.
K. Paronjanca has held more than twenty personal exhibitions in Latvia and abroad. Regularly participates in group exhibitions in Latvia, as well as art projects of international importance. Works can be found in private collections in Latvia, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, USA. The main themes of her works: Cosmos, the Absolute, natural laws and rhythms, the Sun, fertility.
The motto of the artist is "Art with Biomark". Bio – life (from the Greek Bios). A game with a sign that indicates the high quality of the product and the gentle attitude of its creator towards people, nature and its rhythms.
The painter's approach is a conversation with the viewer in the language of metaphors, messages, symbols, which touch the deepest layers of genetic memory and the collective unconscious.
The "Watermelon" collection has played an important role in Karine's biography: the watermelon-lotus has become a symbol of the painter, the most recognizable image and identification mark of her work.
For the author, the creation process itself is equally important as the final result - the awareness of regularities, the dressing of moving abstractions in a tangible, permanent pictorial form, the attempt to include barely perceptible, extremely subtle intonations, motifs and feelings in visual images. Therefore, the artist often works in places with a special history that exist in the collision of different eras and elements. An abandoned airport, a ruined greenhouse, and the roof of a famous radio station became iconic places for the author.
