Historical readings for "Bauska 415"

In preparation for the Bauska town birthday festival, which will take place on the 1st of June this year, a cycle of historical readings will be held in Bauska Town Square.

On 17th of February at 2:00 p.m., there will be held a historical reading "Bauskai 415" in Bauskas town hall - topic Bauskas castle

• Ina Līne - a collection of magnificent pots from the archaeological excavations of Bauska Palace
• Vineta Skalberga - An insight into the collection of ceramic vessels of the Bauska Palace
• Jānis Grūbe - Firearm parts and ammunition found in the archaeological excavations of Bauska Castle
• Ruta Garklava - reconstruction of 17th century musketeer and artilleryman costumes
• Ilona Ozola - "Living Museum" in Bauska Palace. Introduction of experimental methods in the 16th-17th centuries. in the study of domestic culture

The actualization of the rich history of the town of Bauska calls for strengthening the town`s identity, restoring the self-confidence of the citizens and causing a revival of local patriotism.
