Everyone is invited to view Dzintra Žvagiņa's photo exhibition "Tangled. Hair".

On March 2022, at a time when the world is entangled in wars, diseases and crises, the author of the exhibition Dzintra Žvagiņa decided to find strength in capturing hair to tell about people in the photo project "Tangled. Hair". The author herself has had long hair for most of her life. This project is not only about hair, but this hair is also the story of life. Currently, more than 30 people have been photographed in different parts of the world (Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Vietnam).

Dzintra Žvagiņa (1971) was born and grew up in Jelgava, where she completed both secondary school and obtained a forest engineering degree at the Faculty of Forestry of the Latvian Agricultural University. Until 2005, Dzintra's work was related to the forest industry, but at the same time she obtained a bachelor's degree in law.
In 2005, Dzintra decides to devote herself to her family, and this can be considered the moment when photography enters her life.

Since 2018, Dzintra Žvagiņa is a member of Jelgava Society of Artists.

The photographer has participated in various international and Latvian photo contests. She has participated in group exhibitions in Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Portugal, Romania, China, Vietnam and Israel, as well as created her own personal exhibitions. Dzintra herself says: "Photography, in my view, is like a small life. Life consists of moments. In my photos, you can see the moments of life that I found interesting and that I wanted to share with other people".
