Do you know which two rivers meet to form the Lielupe?
Step by step team invites everyone interested to join the hike on the Bauska side. The route will mostly lead along the coast of Lielupe from Mežotne Castle in the direction of Bauska. On the way, you will see the castle hill of Mežotne, the outcrops of the Jumprava dolomite, the park of the Bauska castle, and then finally reaching the place where Mūsa and Mēmele meet and become in Lielupe.
This hike is suitable for both beginners and experienced hikers.
Meeting at 8:50 a.m. at the Bauska bus station (the same place where the hike will be concluded at the end of the day).
at 9:00 a.m. boarding the bus Bauska - Rundāle and we will drive to the stop "Pilsrundāles turn", that is the place from where the hike will starts.
Distance: ~25 km
Planned walking speed: 3.5-5 km/h
Planned walking duration: 6-7 hours
Limit of participants: 20 people
Participation fee: 10 EUR
Meet at Bauska bus station at 8:50 (for those who will travel by bus from Riga, the bus leaves Riga at 7:30)
