With this, the Bauska county is starting a new tradition - every year the county's festival will take place at a different place and date, thus every participant and guest will be introduced to the most valuable cultural traditions, history, people and places of our region. This year it is the Mežotne hillfort in the vicinity of Rundāle, in 2024 the celebration will be held in Bauska and will be dedicated to the city's 415th anniversary, and it will continue its journey, stopping somewhere else every year to open up a new story.
This year, during the festivities of the Bauska county, we will travel to the ancient past: we will see, touch, hear, feel and get to know each other anew. Throughout the day, contemporary entertainment for the whole family is expected, starting the rituals of Vīna Kalns (Wine hill) and in the evening – a concert on the bank of Lielupe. It will be exciting for all ages!
