Bauska is one of the capitals of vimba fishing, so on the 22nd April for the fifth time on the right bank of the Mūsa river (Krasta street near the Bauska stadium) an exciting event for the whole family will take place - the Vimba fish festival. This year, the event visitors will be welcomed by the river from 11:00 am.
During the event you will be able to enjoy:
- participants of the Goodwill fishing competition starting the day from 07:30 am;
- event visitors can enjoy the performance of well-known Latvian musicians;
- informative games about potecting the nature;
- creative workshops and activities;
- local producer's fair and many more.
This year, the band "Dzelzs Vilks" will take the festive stage, but Roberts Gobziņš will traditionally entertain the audience with the best vimba rhythms.
An integral part of the festival - knowledgeable nature enthusiast and spokesperson - Māris Olte - will inform about current affairs in fisheries throughout the day.
