The art object was installed on September 11, 2021, in Bārbele center, near the cafe "Bārbelīte". The sculpture was installed by the initiative of the local residents of the Bārbele village, its author is metalworking master, artist and blacksmith Uldis Šulcs.
An old story tells that a wooden statue of St. Barbara stood on the crossroads, after which this village - Bārbele - was named. In mythology, St. Barbara is the guardian of goats and sheeps, therefore, the sculpture also depicts images of woman and goats.
