Aprašymas

“Ozola acīm” (With Oak Eyes) is an art object in an informational type of stand, made from the oak that grew in the same place, but was struck by lightning during a storm in 2013. In 2014, these impressive oaks of E. Virza street turned 110 years old – the trees were planted here in 1904 by the students of the Iecava school.
After an unfortunate lightning strike, one of the impressive oak trees ended its life, but thanks to the entrepreneurship of the gardener Sarmīte Avota, the tree was given a chance to be reborn – in the stand visitors are welcome to explore the patterns of the oak which are formed during the decades. Also, short history about the cultural development in Iecava and its surroundings can be viewed.
