In 1957, a handicrafts group was established near the museum, from which the Folk Applied Art Studio "Bauska" was formed. It currently functions as a museum department that studies, collects and popularizes folk art traditions.
By visiting the weavers' workshop, you can see modern and ancient ways of making textiles, try your hand at weaving. Individual training is also offered, it is possible to order products. Exhibitions of the works of studio members are held on regular basis.
